Flexible, Optional, and Built to Fit Your Schedule
Volunteering with our band program isn’t about taking on a big job—it’s about supporting an experience that helps students grow, belong, and succeed.
Parents often tell us they want to help but worry about things like:
“I don’t have much time.”
“I’m not musical.”
“I’m not sure what volunteers even do.”
That’s normal. And the good news is: our volunteer opportunities meet you where you are.
Ways to Volunteer
We offer options for every schedule and personality:
Quick tasks: small but important support at events or rehearsals
Low-visibility help: behind the scenes, no spotlight required
Event-based assistance: concessions, uniforms, equipment, travel, chaperoning
Organizational support: planning, coordinating, administrative tasks
Season-specific needs: marching, concert, and jazz events
One-time opportunities: help as your schedule allows—no long-term commitment
Why Families Get Involved
Volunteering isn’t about obligation. Families choose to help because they see the impact band has on their student:
Confidence
Community
Discipline
Leadership
Joy
Helping—even in a small way—lets you be part of that journey.
Your Level of Involvement = Your Choice
There is no minimum requirement, and no experience is necessary. If you’ve ever thought, “Maybe I could help a little,” you’re already the kind of volunteer we welcome!
